Dom Sovetov was made for LSDJAM 2023. This game is a bad-trip emulator (multiplied by 5).
You play as The User. You are 5tuck in a place known as The House of Soviets. And in order to escape, you need to kill five general5. But can you really escape from your demons?
The House of Soviets is a real place in the city of Kaliningrad. The place where it is located has seen countless eras and changes. From pagan5 and medieval knight5 to post-soviet punk5. And during this trip, the story of this place intertwines with the life of The User thus creating this living nightmare.

This game contains scenes of violence, depictions of depression and torture and also features discussions about religion and lots of flickering lights, glitch effects, etc. Photosensetivity warning — play at your own risk.

ended up reading a lot into the subculture of this city and what surrounds the building specifically, very neat game with interesting setting! any recc's on punk music or reading about these post-soviet buildings and sub-cuilture?

If you’d like to dive deeper, we recommend exploring literature on modernism and brutalism in Eastern Europe. for example: Grospierre N. Modern Forms: A Subjective Atlas of 20th Century Architecture, Elser O. SOS Brutalism: A Global Survey, and Brutal East by Zupagrafika.
For atmosphere and mood, Andrei Platonov’s novel The Foundation Pit. It is the grotesque novel about the 1917 Revolution and the construction of the All-Proletarian House (fictional).
Music. Kaliningrad artists: punk rock band Дом Советов (and their song of the same name), post-punk artist Destroy Sunset (album ПОСТПРОЕКТ, song Дом Советов). Eastern European punk and post-punk, such as Polish bands Pidżama Porno, Błokowisko, and Wieże Fabryk.

Очень интересный проект, пробежал на одном дыхании. Жду от команды других интересных проектов. Например, можно сделать идейного наследника Manhunt. Но это так, фантазия.

a very trippy and atmospheric 20-minute journey. excellent sound, setting and, surprisingly, A gunplay. Hamezteam once again pleased us with its unique vision of video games. Keep up the good work!

I genuinely enjoyed playing this. The gun play is great, I was super spooked by the robots and the overall presentation of the game is just fantastic. My only issue was with performance, because most Godot games don't run well, at least on my PC. Otherwise - solid!
